Banks, gas stations and other corporate businesses serving Chinatown choose to gracefully acknowledge the neighborhood with Western adaptations of traditional pagoda architecture, landscaping with rock gardens or Chinese evergreen, and appropriate trees. This attractive landscaping, with Chinese characters cast in terra cotta tiles in the background, was created for a bank.
